Coronavirus Update April 2020
At Grommets Ltd, a third generation family rubber moulding manufacturer based in Henfield, we weighed up the option to close our operation, but as it was apparent that many of our long standing customers were remaining open, and had sought our assurance that we would be able to keep their supply lines open, we were fortunate enough to be able to juggle our fantastic team around to ensure we could remain operational.
To ensure that Critical Manufacturing Infrastructure (CMI) parts are with our customers, our production team are proud to be able to prioritise those jobs that are highlighted as essential during the Covid-19 pandemic.
We supply essential parts to many industries worldwide covering a vast diversity of industries including medical, military, transportation, sustainable energy and food supply chains. Everyone would be surprised where grommets, plugs, bungs and washers actually end up!
We are trying our best to fulfil orders; however we are operating with reduced staffing levels in both the factory and office.
Grommets Ltd. applauds and thanks the courageous front line workers tending to our health, well-being and keeping us fed. We are proud of our staff keeping our production lines running and that we are able to support the efforts of so many others in the battle against Covid-19.
