New Sign for Kids Club Sponsorship

We are pleased to continue to sponsor our amazing Kids Club at Henfield Leisure Centre who provide an invaluable service within our local community. We feel it’s important to help the Henfield Community especially after all the support we received for Saskia, Granddaughter to our MD Jo Boorsma, during a very difficult time in our lives whilst Saskia was extremely unwell with Covid.

Pictured here is Leisure Centre manager Simon Thompson, Grommets MD Jo Boorsma and daughter Charlotte Lane who is our Office Manager, together with Jo’s Granddaughter Saskia Lane and her 2 daughters who are big Sharky’s fans and will be attending the Kids Club in the near future. All together 4 generations!

Henfield Leisure Centre is a registered charity and replies on support in order to run it’s fantastic facility which the village would be lost without.

Our Office Pooch Marjoram Crosses Over The Rainbow Bridge

It’s with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved office pooch Marjoram (Marj).

Marj has joined her heavenly doggy pack. She had nearly 14 amazing years with our MD Jo and husband Mark. She enjoyed her office life at Grommets.



Marj will be greatly missed by all. Sleep tight Marjey.

New Lease of Life for Grommets Ltd Historic Lamp Post

Here at Grommets HQ we embarked on a project to restore the old lamp post outside our premises in Hollands Lane, Henfield.

Our pictures show the before and after restoration work of the lamp post, which wasn’t even functioning as a working lamp post prior to us restoring it. The work was carried out by John who stripped and painted the lamp post, and Simon and Johnny from Maydean Ltd who sourced the lantern top and carried out the electrical work to get the lamp post up and running again!

We managed to find some old photos of how our premises and the surrounding area looked in 1935 which was fascinating to see. One photo shows the King George V Silvber Jubilee procession in Hollands Lane, and the other photo shows the old factory where our premises is now.

Thanks to all involved in the restoration. We have had many passers-by stop to comment on how fab the lamp post is looking now!

Solar PV Invitation to Tender

As part of our environmental policy we are inviting tenders for the installation of solar PV panels on our factory roof and installation of an electric car charging point.

Wishing Victoria a Happy Farewell for Maternity Leave

Our lovely despatch assistant Victoria is leaving us in September to go on maternity leave. Victoria’s baby is due in November. Team Grommets are wishing her all the best and looking forward to meeting the new baby.

Victoria has many strings to her bow as a music teacher, and playing in the fan band The Ramonas, as well as working in our despatch department. Good luck to Victoria and her new little Ramona!

Press Operator Andy Qualifies for Quarter Finals

Our Press Operator Andy has recently taken part in the 1/8th Stock Car World Finals Races in Nottingham where he qualified 14th and finished 17th overall proudly receiving his 17th place trophy!

Andy has modelled his race car on our very own Grommets car design which looks fab.
